New Jersey Symphony
We end the season with fireworks made in the USA. Daniel Bernard Roumain kicks off the festivities with his exciting new work. The sparkling talent of New Jersey Symphony Principal Horn Chris Komer shines in a concerto for horn, jazz trio and orchestra written for Komer by four leading jazz composers, each inspired by Salvador Dalí. Aaron Dworkin, the visionary founder of the Sphinx Organization which lifts up young Black and Latinx musicians, speaks Coleridge-Taylor’s moving Rhapsody with the words of our nation’s first president. And the City of Lights swirls around you in Gershwin’s beloved classic.
