This is glorious madness. Imagine running a marathon, then repeating it … four days in a row. Audience favorite Inon Barnatan teams up with the New Jersey Symphony to perform all five Beethoven piano concertos across four days. The “middle set” holds surprisingly tender music, and passages of jaw-dropping virtuosity, from the heaven-storming composer.

Artist Change Note: New Jersey Symphony audience favorite Inon Barnatan steps in for pianist Louis Lortie for this weekend’s performances. On the advice of his doctors, Lortie is unable to travel to New Jersey following a leg injury and has withdrawn from his Beethoven concerto cycle with the New Jersey Symphony. The Symphony sends its best wishes to Lortie for a speedy recovery and looks forward to welcoming him in a future season.
