Event Summary
What a magnificent finale to our centennial season. Everything about this event was an amazing homage to the past, present and future of the Symphony. From the moment Music Director Xian Zhang stepped onto the stage, we knew this would be an epic performance. Becky Bass simply stunned in Daniel Bernard Roumain’s moving new work Farah (Joy) for Voice and Orchestra and superstar Joshua Bell lit up the stage. As always, the brilliant artistry of the musicians of the New Jersey Symphony was the true force powering this unforgettable afternoon.
It was a privilege to honor The John J. Cali School of Music, especially Choral Director and Professor of Music Heather J. Buchanan, for their outstanding contributions to the Symphony’s artistic programs over the past two decades.
