Broadway and TV star Megan Hilty is garnering press attention for her current turn in Noises Off. She joins the NJSO for a Broadway and American Songbook program, February 12–14 in Red Bank, Newark and New Brunswick.

BroadwayBox counts Hilty's NJSO concerts among the month's best events:

In addition to driving audiences absolutely wild in Noises Off, stage and screen star Megan Hilty is steppin’ out on the town ... this month for exciting concert appearances. On February 12, 13 & 14, Hilty headlines NJSO Pops Valentine’s Day concert, performing classics from the American Songbook.

TheaterMania writes:

Broadway and TV favorite Megan Hilty, who currently stars in Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Michael Frayn's Noises Off, will headline a series of concerts with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Valentine's Day weekend ...

Hilty is best known for her two-season stint as triple-threat Ivy Lynn on the NBC series Smash. On Broadway, she has starred in the musicals 9 to 5 and Wicked. She has starred in New York City Center Encores! productions of Annie Get Your Gun and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

The set list for Hilty's concert series with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra includes romantic songs and favorites from the American Songbook. Todd Ellison will conduct.

Hilty is earning praise for her role in Noises Off. The New York Post writes:

[T]he ensemble in the new Broadway revival includes some of the funniest people in the biz. And they’re having a ball, each one firing up at least one memorable scene or move. That includes David Furr’s epic tumble down a staircase. Or Jeremy Shamos’ repeated pratfalls as he tries to get up from a floor made slippery by sardines — those smelly fishes being the play’s nuttiest recurring motif.

And then there’s Megan Hilty clambering up or down the stairs. Or the way her character, a dim — and buxom! — actress mouths her beats onstage. If someone makes out like a bandit here, it’s Hilty.

Media outlets are going behind the scenes with the star. The New York Times chats with her at home.
