Gallery U Boutique will host the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s Art Strings fundraiser on Sunday, May 18, from 2 to 4 pm. Please be sure to stop by to view this year’s fabulous collection of painted violins and support the NJSO and an outstanding local art gallery! Not only can you view original artwork, but you can also purchase raffle tickets to win one of the Art Strings violins.

The impact these painted violins can have extends beyond the beauty of the artwork. Since its inception in 2001, Art Strings has featured more than 130 violins—each and every one created by a different local artist—and has raised more than $125,000 in support of the NJSO’s lauded education and enrichment programs. Art Strings has also helped fulfill a key part of the Orchestra’s mission—to reach communities throughout the state of New Jersey.

The NJSO is proud to partner with Gallery U Boutique for this event. Gallery U is part of Universal Institute Rehab, which services individuals with traumatic brain injuries. The Gallery and Boutique is a vocational training program for people with disabilities to get back into the work force. UI also offers a unique art therapy program and some of the artwork is handcrafted by the clients.
