Hear NJSO concert broadcast on WWFM

WWFM The Classical Network airs the third in a series of NJSO concert broadcasts on Friday, June 2, at 8 pm on 89.1 FM and www.wwfm.org. A webcast will become available on demand at www.njsymphony.org/broadcasts.
The program includes Ravel’s Boléro, Vaughan Williams’ Tuba Concerto, Saint-Saëns’ The Carnival of the Animals and Tan Dun’s Internet Symphony No. 1, “Eroica.” Music Director Xian Zhang leads the performance, recorded live at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark in April.
The broadcast also features interviews with NJSO Principal Tuba Derek Fenstermacher—the soloist in Vaughan Williams’ virtuosic concerto—and Principal Percussion David Fein.
