Jacques Lacombe appears in new book on leadership
Insights from NJSO Music Director Jacques Lacombe appear in Bart Jackson’s The Art of the CEO, released last week by BartBooks. The book is “a vital survival guide for those walking business’s toughest command tightrope, and those preparing for the challenge,” the author says. “This book passes on the insights of the nation’s top performing leaders. They reveal what works, and how they do it.”
Of Lacombe’s inclusion in the book, Jackson says: “I wanted to bring to light one individual who is mastering [the most difficult leadership challenges faced today] and relay some of the techniques he or she employs in their mastery. For several seasons, my wife and I would watch Maestro Jacques Lacombe walk on to stage with an expert’s confidence, lift his baton, and we would then watch, dazzled, as this conductor brought out the best in each of his fellow musicians. Slowly, I began to realize exactly what this man was doing, and it dawned on me—here is our leader who is facing and mastering the ultimate challenge in leadership.”
