Jacques Lacombe makes Tanglewood debut

July 30, 2014

NJSO Music Director Jacques Lacombe made his Boston Symphony Orchestra and Tanglewood Music Festival debuts at a concert of works by Rachmaninoff and Verdi on July 28.

A bus of NJSO supporters took a daylong trip to Massachusetts to attend Lacombe's debut performance at the famed summer festival. The donors received a private tour of the Tanglewood grounds, heard the concert performance and enjoyed dinner with Lacombe and his wife, Janet, at the Massachusetts home of longtime patron Ann Cummis before returning to New Jersey.

Said NJSO donor Jerry Levitz: "The day at Tanglewood could not have been better…incredibly beautiful music, good friends, a wonderful host and delicious food. [The] sun and a gentle breeze made the event truly spectacular!"
