Join the NJSO’s #GivingTuesday effort today!
The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra is participating in the third annual #GivingTuesday today. Coinciding with the kickoff of the holiday season, Giving Tuesday is a national, dedicated day of giving that follows the Black Friday and Cyber Monday holiday-shopping days.
At the NJSO, we are celebrating this day dedicated to giving when charities, families, businesses, community centers, students, retailers and more will all come together for #GivingTuesday. This year, to start things off right, every gift to the NJSO (up to $1,999) received on Giving Tuesday will be matched one-to-one by a very generous group of donors.
Last year, the NJSO was one of more than 10,000 organizations in 46 countries that came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. With the generosity of people like you, we realized more than $48,000 in one day! We invite you to join the movement and to help us exceed last year’s success by “getting out the give” this December 2.
The NJSO invites those who wish to support the Orchestra through the Giving Tuesday effort to share their stories through social media. Supporters can complete the sentence “I give to the NJSO because …” and share it via Twitter by tweeting @NJSymphony using the #GivingTuesday hashtag and via Facebook by posting on the Orchestra’s page. The NJSO has created a downloadable Giving Tuesday sign; patrons can write their comments on the printout and take a photo with it.
