Morristown Green reviews the New Jersey Symphony’s performance at the 39th Giralda Music & Arts Festival
June 26, 2023
The New Jersey Symphony kicked off its 2023 summer outdoor series with a performance at the 39th Giralda Music & Arts Festival at Liquid Church in Parisppany, performing summer favorites for almost 400+ attendees. Jeff Sovelove and Kevin Coughlin of Morristown Green would review the performance.
Led by conductor José Luis Dominguez, the NJSO performed a mix of classical and popular music, including the theme from Jurassic Park, selections from West Side Story, and classical pieces from prominent African American composers William Grant Still and Florence Price. The symphony closed the show with a rousing rendition of Stars and Stripes Forever.
