Chang applied her characteristic athleticism and firepower – aided by lively, spot-on performances from the percussion section. The performance vividly called to mind the raw energy of Sharks and Jets ready for their rumble. Appealing contributions from wind and brass sections enhanced the lilting “Maria.”
