NJSO brass quintet performs at Military Park Grand Opening
An NJSO brass quintet performed at the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of Newark’s Military Park on Friday, June 13. David Larson and James De La Garza (trumpets), Theresa MacDonnell (horn), Vernon Post (trombone) and Andrew Baker (tuba) played classic pops favorites at the celebratory event. U.S. Senator Cory Booker, former mayor of Newark, was among the New Jersey leaders who spoke at the historic opening.
