NJSO chamber ensembles perform at Newark events
NJSO chamber ensembles have performed at several recent community events in Newark, including the Newark Celebration 350 kickoff event marking the start of year-long festivities honoring the city’s 350th anniversary.
On October 15, an NJSO brass quintet performed at the groundbreaking of the new Tryp Hotel in Newark, an event attended by Mayor Ras Baraka.

On October 17, an NJSO brass quartet gave a free performance in Military Park as part of Newark Celebration 350's kickoff event. The quartet featured NJSO Principal Trumpet Garth Greenup, Assistant Principal Trumpet Chris Stingle, French hornist Chris Komer and trombonist Vernon Post.
On October 9, an NJSO string quartet featuring violinists James Tsao and Wendy Chen, violist Elzbieta Weyman and cellist Frances Rowell performed as part of the New Jersey Devils' first game of the 2015–16 hockey season.
