NJSO mourns passing of Dr. Clement A. Price
A message from James Roe on behalf of the entire NJSO family
I write this message with a heavy heart. This afternoon we lost a great friend when Dr. Clement A. Price passed away after suffering a stroke on Sunday.
Whether you knew him as a historian, a professor or a cultural leader, you were touched by his charisma, his passion for Newark and his great optimism for the future. A former trustee of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Clem’s generosity of spirit made those around him feel deeply alive and connected to the world. His easy smile and engaging intellect drew people together and enhanced our shared humanity. Clem illuminated so much for so many, and even in this moment of great loss, his light remains radiant.
We send our sincere sympathies to his wife, Mary Sue, his family and all those who loved him. We will keep you informed about arrangements for his memorial.
