Patrons enjoy NJSO’s Saturday Night Out LGBT event

May 6, 2014

The NJSO hosted its second annual Saturday Night Out event for LGBT community members and friends—on Saturday, May 3, at NJPAC in Newark. LGBT community members and friends enjoyed a post-concert champagne and dessert reception following the NJSO’s performance of Brahms’ First Symphony and the New Jersey premiere of Richard Danielpour’s Clarinet Concerto, “From the Mountaintop,” with clarinetist Anthony McGill.

Guest Giacomo La Vita performed works for solo guitar as reception attendees mingled with other concertgoers, NJSO musicians and Music Director Jacques Lacombe, as well as McGill and Danielpour.

Among the Saturday Night Out attendees were guests of the Hyacinth Foundation, a New Jersey-based foundation dedicated to serving people with HIV and AIDS and slowing the spread of the epidemic.
