UJA benefit with Joffrey dancers tops Star-Ledger’s ‘Top 5’
The NJSO’s one-day-only performance with dancers from the Joffrey Ballet Concert Group for the 17th annual UJA Benefit Concert at NJPAC in Newark on Sunday, May 18, takes the top spot in The Star-Ledger’s “Top 5 NJ shows this week”:
NJSO with Joffrey dancers in Newark — This year, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s annual UJA Benefit features music director Jacques Lacombe taking on a specialty in which local audiences rarely get to experience his expertise: ballet. Dancers from the Joffrey Ballet Concert Group join the ensemble for a program on Sunday featuring music by Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Bernstein and others, njsymphony.org
