Xian Zhang, a former assistant conductor at the New York Philharmonic and rising star, will become the 14th music director of New Jersey Symphony Orchestra this September, following Jacques Lacombe. An April performance of Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony will undoubtedly provide a peek of her tenure with the ensemble.
